Flinders Petrie is one of the most well known historical Egyptologists and is regarded as one of the founders of the modern discipline. In this talk Lorna Oakes will be telling us about the life and career of this key individual.
Lorna Oakes has presented to the group before (most recently in August 2019 about Ancient Egyptian thought in the Old Testament). She was a lecturer at Birkbeck College and the British Museum, and has led numerous study groups to Egypt.
