Event information
Naqada is synonymous with many elements, particularly Predynastic chronology and the contemporary evidence from the site of Nubt. Here we visit the wider region, looking at fresh approaches – through archives, digital mapping measure, and excavations – into the 4th and 3rd millennium regional site patterning. Specifically under discussion will be the results from work at Cemeteries NT and NG at Nubt, the cemetery at Manshiya (Khattara 3), as well new research into the Old Kingdom in the region, including the regional step pyramid of Nubt in its wider context. The site management strategy for Nubt will be briefly presented too.
