Royal Ladies of the New Kingdom

The earliest Royal Ladies of the New Kingdom were so crucial in liberating Egypt from foreign Hyksos opporession that they were worshipped as deities for the next 500 years. Several Queens in this era became Kings. Just as beautiful and mysterious as Nefertiti was Nefertari, favoured wife of Ramesses II. At the same time, there were harems and harem conspiracties. As the New Kingdom drew to a close Royal Ladies were once more of the foremost importance. There is a lot to explore!
